We are currently seeking committed and passionate Instructors to lead Academic, Enrichment and Recreation activities for the Expanded Learning Program. Our ideal Program Instructor will have a strong dedication to youth development, a sense of creativity and enthusiasm and be able to commit to working the entire school year.

Benefits:

  • Pay rate: $22 - $24 an hour DOE
  • Flexible hours negotiated upon hiring (20 30 hours per week)

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have an AA degree or higher, 48 + college credits OR pass the SFUSD Instructional Aide Exam
  • Ability to work Monday Friday until 6:30 pm for the duration of the school year (hours will be determined at time of offer, between 20 30 hours per week until 6:30pm)
  • Must pass a criminal background check and have TB Clearance
  • Ability to reliably commute to school site in San Francisco
  • Must have strong class management skills
  • Previous experience working with elementary school youth preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and facilitate activities/lesson plans for up to 20 students
  • Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times
  • Model positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors and language

Above is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience/education, skillset, and geographic location.
