Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and tailor PWS/SOW requirements for proposal delivery
  • Serves as primary contact for Sponsor MA requirements
  • Able to independently create develop and manage sponsor deliverables
  • Ensures DoD Sponsored Programs meet MA requirements
  • Stay current with MA and DoD industry standards to update PMSO tools and methodologies
  • Trains PDs, engineering teams, and Junior MAs on industry standards, tools and methodologies
  • Able to independently assess customer requirements and suggest MA infrastructure
  • Reviews and monitor product work planning, development, execution, and risk management activities to assess compliance with MA standards
  • Supports maintaining existing programs and recommends strategies for implementing MA processes on new research programs
Additional Responsibilities:
This position will require experience in some if not all of these mission assurance functions:
  • Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
  • Reliability analysis
  • Dynamic reliability block-diagram analysis
  • Fault tree analysis
  • Root cause analysis
  • Accelerated testing
  • Avoidance of single point of failure (SPOF)
  • Functional analysis and functional failure analysis (e.g., function FMEA, FHA or FFA)
  • Testability analysis
  • Safety
  • Quality.
  • Works with the project engineering team to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified designs.
  • Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment and processes.
  • Assists the development of engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect delivered products.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA or BS or equivalent experience is required
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing a reliability management methodology including 5+ years of experience assisting in the execution of large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams.
  • Experience working in multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 team members
  • Experience conducting a variety of failure analyses, including root cause, Weibull, and fault tree analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • MA or MS
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • PMI PMP certification
  • 3+ years experience with ReliaSoft and/or Windchill
Travel Requirements:
< 10% travel
Education and Length of Experience:
  • 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, electrical, system engineering or related
  • 3 years of related experience with a Masters' degree in Mechanical, electrical, system engineering or related
  • 0 years of related experience with a Ph.D. in Mechanical, electrical, system engineering or related
U.S. Citizenship Requirements:
Due to our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens.
Clearance Type Required
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
