We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to provide on-site support as an FMECA Analyst In San Diego, CA USA. This role may have hybrid options available for the right candidate.

Position Is contingent upon award of contract.

Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of the United States.
  • 3+ years of experience in Reliability Centered Maintenance Failure Analysis.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-882E and be competent in failure probability matrix.
  • Experience with reliability calculation software (e.g., ResCalc), MS Office Suite, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Teams, Visio, and Adobe Professional.
  • 1+ year of experience with Advanced Networking Tactical System (ANTS)

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Apply Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) process to command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems.
  • Analyze different failure modes and their effects on the system.
  • Prioritize failure modes and effects based on failure rate and severity of the effect of failure.
  • Utilize existing external failure data or subjective ranking procedures.
  • Initiate FMECA upon receiving preliminary design information, with regular scheduling and concurrent completion as part of the design process.
  • Continuously update the FMECA as the baseline for safety analysis, maintainability, maintenance plan analysis, failure detection, and isolation of subsystem design.
  • Support maintainability, safety and logistics analysis, and coordination of analysis to prevent duplication effort within the same program.
  • Perform FMECA redesign to applicable sections when changes occur.
  • Ensure potential failure modes of revised components are addressed.
  • Provide schematics and operational details of the system being analyzed and identify system indenture levels.
  • Identify each system function and associated failure modes for each functional output.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Reliability Engineering, or,
  • Master's degree and 1+ year of experience with ANTS.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess an active, DoD-issued Secret security clearance or higher.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
