Position Summary

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at North Park University seeks applications for a visiting faculty member to begin Fall 2023.

The successful candidate will teach 24 semester hours in exercise science or related fields, based on their qualifications and the needs of the school. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in exercise science, health science, exercise physiology, or closely related field. ABD and/or masters degree will be considered.
• Demonstration of successful teaching at the university level.
• Professional experience in exercise physiology and/or health fitness or in an exercise science-related field.
• Ability to work independently and with others, and to be proactive.
• Willingness to learn to use instructional technology efficiently.
• Have good attention to detail and excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Be customer friendly and hospitable.
• Committed to and an articulate supporter of the universitys mission, identity, and Christian faith commitment.
• Personal commitment to North Parks mission of Christian higher education.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

Preferred

• Health or fitness-related certification.
• Have experience with Enterprise Resource Systems.
• Comfortable with using new technology.
