Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to become the Family Engagement Coordinator at ER Taylor. All family engagement programs take place Monday through Friday at ER TAYLOR. BACRs goal is to foster clear lines of communication and engagement opportunities between families and our After School Program. Anticipated start date: August 7, 2023 The Family Engagement Specialist (FES) will maintain healthy relationships with partners, providers and networks, such as the San Francisco Family Support Network, SFUSD, and DCYF. $300 Sign On Bonus eligible after 60 days of employment

Minimum Requirements - Bachelors degree or 2 years college (minimal 48 college units) and/or at least 2 years of related experience
- 2 years related experience working in youth programs, a school setting, and/or non-profits
- Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance
- Ability to work effectively with diverse district/school staff, students, parents, and community members
- Must have a working ability with computers (composing email, scanning, Microsoft office), Zoom and G-Suite (GMail, Google Drive, Google Classroom, and Google Meets).
- Must be confident speaking in public settings for students and parents
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin/Cantonese OR Spanish is preferred.
Responsibilities - Develop responsive, culturally appropriate, and engaging family programming that meets the needs and interests of the ERT community.
- Build relationships with ERT stakeholders (school administration, parents and staff) to further engage them in the success of the program.
- Manage front desk during program hours, providing families with BACR program information and student locations.
- Managing family emails which include: questions, concerns, early - pickups and absences. Communicate attendance changes and/or other student injuries, etc. to the corresponding program staff and Site Coordinator.
- Update after school programs bulletin board and send out monthly Family Newsletters and manage parent slide deck to keep families informed of all program updates.
- Plan and host family engagement events such as: to give our families the opportunity to connect and see what we work on in our program or how tos.
- Completion of administrative duties.
- Communicate participant concerns, class needs, or site issues to the Site Coordinator.
- Flexibility to work some evenings as needed for family events
