Job Responsibilities

• Function autonomously to conduct patient histories and physicals for complex critical, chronically ill, and acute patients.


• Order, perform, and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic tests concerning the needs of the patient, and follow up on a regular basis to ensure their needs are being adequately met.


• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients.


• Implement measures to assist patients in regaining and sustaining physiologic endurance to include serving in the first assisting role.


• Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.


• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions.


• Facilitate the staff and the patient as well as the family decision-making process by providing educational tools for self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.

Our latest Locum Tenens assignment is in Chula Vista, CA area at a family medicine clinic geared toward older patients. The clinic patients typically have issues with COPD, Asthma, High blood pressure, and diabetes.  They are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for coverage July 14th through July 21st of 2020.  We hope that you are the one!

You will receive:

· Hourly Compensation

· Malpractice coverage at 1mil/3mil

Duration:

· July 14-21

Hours:

· July 14th 1:00pm-5:00pm

  July 15th 9:30am-5:00pm

  July 16th 9:30am-5:00pm

  July 17th 9:30am-12:30pm

  July 21st 1:30pm-5:00pm

Particulars:

· Patients are all adult; no peds

· 3-4 patients seen per hour

Requirements:

· Active and Unrestricted California NP or PA license (mandatory)

· Must be comfortable on your own (mandatory)

· Fluent in Spanish and English (Desired)
