An Urgent Care Centre located in Roselle Park, New Jersey, is looking to immediately hire a Full-Time or Part-Time Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). A minimum of 3 Years of urgent care experience such as skills to perform suturing, abscess drainage/removal, and injections is required, or the willingness to take a crash course for these procedures.

DOT certification is highly preferred; however, it could also be waived at the start provided you will take the DOT certification course after accepting the offer. Spanish proficiency is greatly preferred.

This is a state-of-the-art urgent care center that is fully equipped with a digital X-Ray machine, EKG machine, PFT machine, and more. Every exam, procedure, and treatment is equipped for triaging the patients. The center is open 7 days a week, 9 AM to 9 PM Monday to Friday, 10 Am to 5 PM Saturday and Sunday.

The supporting staff performs admission and eligibility, triaging patients, injection, and phlebotomy work. Providers will have a complete prepared report in the EMR before they examine the patients. The staff also sends medication to pharmacies and referral notes to specialists.

Wages are competitive, flexible hours, and some weekend coverage is required.

The employment package includes a highly competitive hourly rate and malpractice, plus additional benefits for full-time providers such as health insurance, paid time off (PTO), paid floating holidays, CME time off and allowance, and medical, dental, and vision plan coverage for the provider only.

Position Description

The FNPs report directly to the center's Medical Director and are primarily responsible for the provision of high-quality medical care to our urgent care and occupational medicine patients. Mid-Level Providers must also: (i) actively manage all aspects of patient care while on shift; (ii) supervise and direct the center's clinical staff; (iii) ensure that all charts are accurately completed in a timely manner; and (iv) adhere to all clinical policies and protocols.

Qualifications

  • NJ medical license, NJ C.D.S. card, and Federal D.E.A. license.
  • Board-certification.
  • A.C.L.S. and D.O.T. certifications.
  • A minimum of 3-year urgent care experience, or willingness to take courses before starting the job;
  • Familiarity with occupational medicine.
  • Comfort and experience treating patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics.
  • Clinical ability to suture lacerations, drain abscesses, and set minor fractures.
  • Clean medical malpractice record;
  • High organizational skills;
  • Effective and compassionate communicator with staff, patients, and management;
  • Willingness to mentor clinical staff;
  • Highly professional appearance and attitude;
  • Able to multi-task effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment; and
  • High-energy with a positive attitude who is passionate about patient care.

Job Type:

  • Full-time or Part-Time

Pay Level:

  • $85.00 to $95 per hour
