Spiegelworld is looking for a Fast Food Server/Cashier to join the team for our newest venture at Caesars Atlantic City Hotel & Casino. This energetic restaurant and nightlife concept will operate five nights a week and will have an outlet on the boardwalk for quick service- where this position is needed! Scope

As a Fast Food /Cashier, you will be responsible for playing a strong supporting role in the creation of a polished yet unpretentious dining experience; one which will be savored long after the last bite is a memory.

The Fast Food Server is responsible for guiding each guest through their ordering experience. The ideal candidate should have hospitality at heart and the people skills to make sure each guest has a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. Ultimately, youll ensure we provide excellent guest experience by providing personalized service, checking in with guests, presenting the bill, and everything in between.


Primary Job Duties

Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Provide exceptional service.
  • Utilize guests' names when applicable.
  • Maintain professional grooming and appearance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Monitor guests needs, ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Up-sell merchandise -Assist with different sizes
  • Assist guests in bagging merchandise
  • Take Sandwiches from prep area and assemble and wrap
  • Plate up 2 sandwiches offered
  • Ring in order
  • Receive payment from guests, and perform all cashier duties.
  • Adhere to established cash control policies and procedures.
  • Answer any guest questions and refer them, if necessary, to appropriate management.
  • Responsible for complying with Title 26 policies and procedures.
  • Handle cash and cash transactions accurately to protect the assets of the company.
  • Operate as a member of a team: help others and request help as needed.
  • Provide prompt, exceptional, courteous, friendly and timely service to guests and employees. in accordance with established standards.
  • Perform necessary tasks to service guests, i.e. taking and filling all food and drink orders and assisting in maintaining guests dining area in a clean and neat manner.
  • Maintain thorough menu and product knowledge
  • Follow company standards of hospitality by making eye contact with every guest, smiling and offering a warm and friendly greeting with the proper verbiage.
  • Responsible for cash banks and slot banks, proper procedures for handling comps, room charges, credit cards, officers checks and coupons.
  • Proper completion of cash turn-in sheets, voids, etc., with appropriate distribution.
  • Monitor guests needs on a continual basis, ensuring all requests will be promptly fulfilled.
  • Follow sanitation and table maintenance standards for amazing guest service.
  • Routinely inspect surrounding areas, identifying cleaning needs, potential safety hazards, problems and maintenance or repair needs, and notify the appropriate individual(s) for proper resolution.
  • Taking part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
  • Assist other employees when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least one year experience as a cashier in a high volume restaurant.
  • At least one year of experience in a bar, lounge, nightclub or full service restaurant setting.
  • At least one year previous cash handling, customer service experience
  • Ability to anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests in a timely manner.
  • A highly motivated and energetic personality with a strong commitment to excellence in hospitality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Effectively assist with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, tact, friendliness, poise and firmness.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
  • Working knowledge of all restaurant functions and tableside service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a very high paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Effectively assist with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, tact, friendliness, poise and firmness.
  • A highly motivated and energetic personality with a strong commitment to excellence in hospitality.
  • Working knowledge of POS systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees, guests, management and other departments.
  • Comfortable improvising in the moment as part of the guest experience.
  • Able to work in a club/nightlife atmosphere with loud music and flashing lights.
  • Maintaining any necessary licensing and work cards required, present and future.
  • Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards.
  • Must have valid work authorization for the US.
  • At least 21 years of age.


Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in an energetic, hospitality driven restaurant or nightlife venue.

  • Work is performed in high volume professional foodservice environment
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.

  • Requires prolonged standing and mobility.
  • Bending and reaching.
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Requires basic math skills.
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
  • Prolonged telephone usage.
  • Requires transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires use of standard office equipment.
