We are excited to offer you a great opportunity to join our expanding team responsible for accounting and settlement duties within Guy Carpenter Client Support Services (CSS). We are looking for a client-focused individual with strong problem-solving skills, who can work with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels and has a track record of working collaboratively with their team to achieve KPIs.

We are open to experience from a broad range of roles within the reinsurance or insurance sectors, but you will need significant experience of accounting and settlement activities to be successful within this role.

What can you expect?


Apply your experience and further develop within a role that offers the opportunity to help shape the future of Fiduciary within CSS. Drive continual improvement of support offering in Mumbai for market fiduciary roles and act as a conduit between offices. Partner with the Operations Specialists to support root cause analysis and developing improved processes, protocols, and behaviours to improve outcomes in the future.

Deliver outstanding client/market service and advance Guy Carpenters reputation.

Take responsibility for your workload, work with a high degree of autonomy, liaising effectively with senior colleagues and providing guidance or escalation as required.

Lead regular dialogue and have frequent personal interaction with market/client contacts to drive resolution to issues related to payment and collection.

Oversee the gathering of inputs for the evolution of the operational model to drive new process improvement ideas leveraging technology solutions.

Be responsible in driving strategic and global relationships with brokers, clients and markets in order to understand issues, resolve problems and queries and review working practices and drive business.

Lead strategic team meetings and activities to drive sharing of opinions, ideas, knowledge, and solutions, drive action plans based on the ideas and manage opportunities for team learning.

We will rely on you to:


Provide innovative solutions to drive operational efficiencies in fiduciary process and procedures as a core attribute throughout CSS.

Ensure Mumbai Governance framework is robust, and that focus is maintained on key metrics.

Monitor KPIs for trends and take corrective actions to ensure we are operating within agreed timelines.

Monitoring funding, identifying problem areas, implementing solutions, and driving improvements.

Liaise effectively with CSS and Guy Carpenter client-facing colleagues where necessary to ensure a coordinated approach is taken.

Promote new process improvement ideas and help in the development of dashboards and reports tailored to the specific requirements of CSS, providing performance metrics and KPIs for stakeholders.

Always maintain a strong focus on the resolution of issues for clients and CSS in the broadest terms. Ensure actions taken are meaningful to conclude issues or develop traction to do so.

Participate in team and department meetings and activities to share opinions, ideas, and knowledge.

Maintain strong working relationships and participate in initiatives and/or contribute where required to deliver outcomes.

Support wider CSS activities where required, including but not limited to quarter review of potential financial exposures, delivery of key performance targets, or other significant business objectives.


What you need to have:


Knowledge of Reinsurance concepts and principles, laws and regulatory requirements (i.e., FSA), and general business trends.

Track record of successful client account management, relationship management, engagement, and development.

Able to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels and communicate detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Successful management of workload; able to manage expectations of all clients and stakeholders.


What makes you stand out:


Significant experience of Insurance or Reinsurance accounting and settlement activities.

Demonstrable record of accomplishment of successful financial remediation or issue resolution, including commercial or similar negotiation.

Positive attitude, willingness to offer and execute ideas and solutions to enhance processes within a changing environment.

Consistently provide guidance by mentoring and/or training colleagues.

Consistently deliver superior client service.

Data management and analytical skills.
