Title: Field Application Engineer Location - Santa Clara, CA (Prefer Santa Clara / San Francisco / NoCal candidates. In Office w/Travel - Not Remote) Duration: Full-Time Salary: $100K150K +10% Bonus + Equity. Must have the following: 5+ years as FAE required Exp w/Linux OS Exp w/Python/C++ Exp in NPU for various ML/DNN networks Bachelors EE or CS Santa Clara, CA The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) is responsible for providing technical support to customers during the pre-sales and post-sales process. You will work with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide guidance on how to integrate NPU products into their systems. FAEs also work closely with the engineering teams to troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the design, implementation, and testing phases of the project. In addition, FAEs are responsible for providing training and technical documentation to customers, as well as conducting product demonstrations and participating in industry events. Responsibilities Client Communication: Collaborate with clients to deeply understand their requirements and challenges, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Feasibility Analysis: Conduct a comprehensive feasibility analysis to evaluate the suitability of proposed solutions for NPU products in diverse applications and industries. Solution Design: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and customize solutions that address clients' unique needs, leveraging the capabilities of our NPU products. High-Performance Inference Solutions: Develop innovative inference solutions that harness the full potential of NPU products, delivering exceptional performance with high throughput and low latency. Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize and fine-tune inference solutions to achieve peak performance and efficiency in real-world applications. End-to-End Inference: Ensure seamless integration of NPU products, providing end-to-end inference solutions that deliver reliable and accurate results. Technical Support: Offer expert technical support to clients during solution implementation, troubleshooting, and post-deployment phases, ensuring customer satisfaction. Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including solution architecture, implementation guidelines, and best practices. Stay Abreast of Technology: Keep updated with the latest advancements in NPU technology and AI inference to contribute to ongoing innovation and improvement. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Field Applications Engineer Experience with acceleration of deep learning algorithms on special hardware or architecture Experience with Linux OS Excellent communication skills for requirement gathering and clarification Good programming skills in the following languages - Python, C++ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Frequent travel to customer sites required Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NPU products or AI inference solutionsExperience with inference optimizations for various ML/DNN frameworks (Tensorflow, pytorch, etc Experience with model compression (quantization, pruning, etc) of various deep learning algorithms (vision, language, speech, etc) Knowledge of AI-specific hardware, such as semiconductor chips, is a plus Experience in AI/ML/DL projects Experience in TensorRT optimizations Experience in a wide variety of projects utilizing artificial intelligence, and machine learning technologies Experience in hardware (SoC, PCB, PCIe, etc
