About the Field Heavy Equipment Technician position:

• Uses modern equipment and computer programs to troubleshoot, analyze, and adjust the equipments internal systems
• Determines parts that are needed or must be fabricated, and orders parts and materials through appropriate departments
• Assures that equipment assigned is in good working condition and meets all safety specifications.
• Troubleshoots engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical and related systems
• Repairs or rebuilds engines and systems
• Reads and interprets manuals and schematic diagrams
• Effectively communicates with site superintendents on the job sites about the status of equipment repair.

Education and Experience:

• A CDL Class B license preferred
• At least one year of experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy excavation/construction equipment.
