As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the frontline representative responsible for responding to emergency customer calls, driving system installations, planning the conversion of existing systems, and optimizing software and hardware functionality for customer applications. You will play a critical role in setting up systems, providing technical support to both customers and internal associates, and ensuring smooth operations at customer sites. Your ability to provide expert instruction and support, along with meticulous reporting of installation and service issues, will be essential to our success.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Respond promptly to emergency customer calls at their sites, diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.

  • Drive the installation of systems at customer sites, ensuring accurate setup and functionality according to specifications.

  • Plan and coordinate the conversion of existing systems, implementing upgrades and enhancements as required.

  • Optimize software and hardware functionality for customer applications, ensuring maximum efficiency and performance.

  • Set up systems and provide subject matter expert-level technical support to customers and company associates.

  • Offer instruction and process support to customers, guiding them on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.

  • Report all installation and service issues promptly and accurately, documenting findings and solutions implemented.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to escalate complex issues and coordinate resources for timely resolution.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on-site at customer locations.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience in a field service or technical support role, with expertise in system installation and optimization.

  • Experience with dispensing machinery and equipment, fastening systems, vision systems.

  • Strong technical skills in both software and hardware, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear instruction and support to customers.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel and work on-site at customer locations, often in emergency situations.

  • Technical certifications or training related to industrial systems installation and support is a plus.
