Companyis currently seeking a highly qualified Financial Accountant to take on a Finance Manager role to work at our corporate headquarters located in California, MD. The selected candidate will be supporting our accounting department by performing a number of financial and administrative activities. The successful candidate will be organized and will be able to communicate effectively.Essential Functions Oversee the preparation of the Companys financial statements including assisting with preparing and reviewing monthly journal entries, reconciling accounts and participating in the month end close process Assist in the chart of accounts and financials set up in Costpoint to ensure accordance with GAAP Support annual and interim US GAAP financial audits Prepare and provide management with regular reports and summaries Support Internal Compliance Reviews Timesheet administrator Manage payroll and travel functions within the organization from ADP to Costpoint and Concur Maintain an effective cash management system Coordinate and engage with all external professional services including tax, legal and other service providers. Ensure compliance with the Companys financial policies and procedures. Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the accounting function. Improve the operational systems, processes policies in support of organizations mission. Supervise multiple positions within the finance department Other duties as assigned.Skills Required Attention to detail and ability to complete required reports on a timely basis. Ability to work in a collegial manner with Company employees, vendors, and customers. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and Federal Contracting Standards are advantageous but not essential for this roleMinimum Qualifications U.S. citizenship Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance CPA or equivalent; exceptions may be made for part qualified candidates Must have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work under their own autonomy Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports High systems aptitude; knowledgeable in desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity Ability to successfully pass a drug test
