The Financial Analyst / Sr. Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting, as well as insightful financial planning and analysis for an assigned group of Franchisees. Additionally, you will work directly with the senior finance team and rest of the City Wide Franchise support staff to provide comprehensive support to the independent City Wide locations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Help with accounting operations, production of periodic financial reports and help maintain accounting records.
  • Manage third party vendors relating to the areas of software support, payroll, and audits.
  • Reivew monthly Financial Statements to ensure accuracy of financial data and soundness of business operations.
  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements.
  • Assist franchisee with requests for financial information, including third-party audits.
  • Providing management with information and analysis vital to the decision-making process.
  • Managing and preparing detailed business forecasts and budgets.
  • Train and manage staff that perform accounting tasks for franchisees.
  • Maintain strong working relationship with all key managers, franchisees, and franchisees CPA and external auditors.
  • Evaluating accounting and internal control systems.
  • Proactively provide business reporting and analysis.
  • Additional benchmarking and analysis reporting on a regular basis.
  • Maintain accounting policies and procedures with on-going improvement initiatives.
  • Full balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Month-end and Year-End Close.
  • Escalation contact for required problem resolution.
  • Monthly Contract Billing and monthly Vendor Pay.


Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business (Accounting and/or Finance, preferred)
  • ERP Accounting software, Microsoft Dynamics BC, preferred
  • High-level Excel skills
  • Strong Computer and database knowledge/experience
  • Certification desirable (CPA, CMA)
  • Minimum of five years accounting experience
  • Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers' needs with key business communication skills, while following company procedures
  • Analytical Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using data and analysis, understanding key financial relationships that drive business value
  • Accuracy/Precision - Ability to consistently deliver high quality accurate results and design systems/controls for assuring accuracy
  • Problem Solving/Innovation - Ability to find creative solutions and deal proactively with work-related challenges and opportunities
