With over forty years of combined experience, Seiden Family Law leaders Sheryl Seiden and Christine Fitzgerald have the wisdom and sophistication to understand how to litigate for their clients with zealous advocacy, while recognizing the benefit of resolving disputes to save her clients the expense, burden, and emotional drain of proceeding with litigation. As a Certified Mediator, Sheryl has the superior skills necessary to settle cases for her clients as their advocate, an apt disposition to mediate cases for individuals. As a Certified Matrimonial lawyer, Christine has the skills to litigate for her clients with great success. Seiden Family Law is in search of a Financial Coordinator to handle all the financial aspects of the firm. This role is an in-office position (based in our Cranford, NJ location) which will require either three full days or five half days in the office to start. As firm continues to grow, position has opportunity to grow into full time. Requirements - Reconcile various accounts on a monthly basis and maintain reconciliation reports
- Print prebills, revise bills, and issue final bills for family law matters and mediation matters on a monthly basis
- Manage payroll for firm
- Conduct monthly meetings with partners to review reconciliation, account receivables, budgeting, projections and other financial issues
- Enter all expenses into billing software on a weekly basis to be billed to clients
- Post all credit card, checks and cash deposits into clients accounts as received
- Manage Accounts Receivables, including calling clients without outstanding balances to obtain payment
- Monitor & maintain expenses via Quickbooks
- Pay bills of firm and set up automatic payments where possible
- Print credit card statements on 1st of month and annotate them for accountant
- Print bank statements on 1st of month and annotate them for accountant
- Monitor Iotla trust account and issue refunds on retainer to clients when matters are complete
- Prepare monthly reports from LEAP computer system detailing accounts receivables, monies held in trust, attorney hours, staff postings, and other accounts
- Review spending of firm and make suggestions on how to conserve resources
- Provide annual budget for firm and provide yearly projections on a quarterly basis
- Handle all disability claims for employees of firm
- General ad-hoc bookkeeping services
The best candidates possess:
- Experience with reconciling trust and escrow accounts for lawyers
- Experience using QuickBooks online & LEAP practice management software
