LINQM has been engaged on a Payroll Financial Analyst role.



 



Duties: responsible to apply professional concepts and principles in the area of Accounting to review, analyze, reconcile, and interpret the output of the payroll data, including Taxation, Garnishments, Equity and Regulatory compliance for both a Global and Multi-State payroll to ensure smooth and efficient payroll reporting and month end/quarter end accounting close.



With limited general guidance, this role is expected to work independently with the ability to utilize both experience and knowledge in the area of Payroll Accounting to complete G/L postings, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, SOX compliance, research/resolve payroll bank account discrepancies, Equity reporting, and maintain processing check lists to ensure critical tasks are executed timely and in accordance with company schedules.



Job Duties Include:



 



Preparing GL interface from ADP Pro Business to JDE financials, journal vouchers on payroll clearing/suspense in accordance with company schedules.



Preparing Intercompany Cross charge journal entries into JDE financials in accordance with company schedules.



Preparing various GL and NON-GL account reconciliations in accordance with company processing schedules. (weekly, monthly, & quarterly).



Liason between payroll and other departments / 3rd party vendors to ensure efficient, effective processes and reporting.



Prepares and reconciles government regulated earnings and/or deductions such as YTD gross earnings, garnishments, multi-state taxes, ESPP, RSU's, Options, 401K, and Deferred Comp Plans.



Cross functional partnership with Finance, Equity, Risk Management, Corporate Tax, Benefits, and HRIS.



Research and analyze payroll tax matters to determine and resolve discrepancies and ensure SOX compliance.



Strong aptitude for complex and specialized areas related to payroll processing, as well as assisting with other administrative, accounting and finance duties or special projects as requested.



Process accurate and timely year-end statements such as W-2, W-2C and other related year-end tax filing documents.



Prepare reconciliations between 941 Tax filing reports to payroll register and general ledgers.



Maintain or develop standard and specialized reports as needed to comply with all internal and external audit requests.



 



Skills: Additional Skills: • Experience working with an international company

Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and related financial systems; ERP (e.g., JDE, Oracle, SP) experience preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills

Solid problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills

Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

Solid knowledge of financial concepts and principles
