What you will do as a Fire Sprinkler Designer

Design fire protection systems according to code

Review contract/ job documents and submit for acceptance

Create system designs using specialized fire sprinkler layout software

Estimate/list material needed for project and coordinate with fitters

Perform hydraulic calculations

Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

 

What you will need as a Fire Sprinkler Designer

3+ years of experience as a fire protection designer

NICET certification (level II or higher) a huge plus

AutoCAD, AutoSprink, HydraCAD or other similar software

Understanding of NFPA codes
