1 Resource Group is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic for fleet services to join our team. This is a direct hire position with great benefits. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of vehicles including automobiles, trucks, 18 wheelers, forklifts, and heavy equipment.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Vocational training or formal schooling in auto mechanics is a plus
Experience with repairs of large trucks, forklifts, and heavy equipment
Knowledge of diagnostic equipment and the ability to troubleshoot and test vehicles
Ability to perform preventative maintenance and keep accurate records
Strong understanding of gasoline, diesel, and propane engines
Familiarity with various mechanical and electrical systems of vehicles
Proficiency in using a variety of hand and powered shop tools
Adherence to safety procedures and occupational hazards
Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
