Southeast Texas HR, a company leader in recruiting and HR services, is seeking a Food Service Assistant-Dietary to work in the Hospital & Health Care industry. As a Food Service Assistant-Dietary, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring high-quality service and nutritious food for patients. You will assist in preparing and delivering meals that align with each patients specified dietary needs. Your commitment to providing exceptional customer service and attention to detail will make you an invaluable member of our team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to patients, adhering to dietary regulations and standards
• Set up and clean patient trays, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Restock food and beverage stations, following established protocols for food safety and sanitation
• Monitor food and supplies inventory, reporting any discrepancies or deficiencies to the supervisor
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with all health and safety guidelines
• Assist in general kitchen tasks, such as dishwashing and kitchen cleaning
• Communicate with patients and healthcare staff regarding dietary needs and preferences
• Cashiering, counting down drawer with supervisor at the end of the shift, run and log required reports, collect and deposit money for pick up, securing money once completed

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service preferred, especially in a healthcare setting
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation principles
• Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, particularly in a healthcare setting
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Must be able to obtain immunization records

Benefits

This could be a temp-to-perm job for the ideal candidates. Pay will be DOE and range between $9.00-$12.00 per hour.
