We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic candidates to join our offsite events team for the upcoming season. Slows To Go is looking for applicants interested in working as banquet servers, on our food trucks and at our concession operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Additional hours are available at both our Corktown flagship and at Slows To Go in Midtown.


Key Responsibilities:

CATERING

  • Assist with the set-up and breakdown of catering events, including tables, chairs, linens, and dcor.
  • Ensure that all catering equipment and supplies are clean, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Greet guests and assist with seating arrangements and service during the event.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times, responding promptly to guest requests and concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with other catering staff, including event coordinators and chefs, to ensure the event runs smoothly.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food and equipment.

FOOD TRUCK

  • Assist with the set-up and breakdown of all food truck events. (link removed)>
  • Ensure that all truck equipment is clean, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Politely greet guests, explaining our menu as needed.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times, responding promptly to guest requests and concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with other truck staff, including event coordinators and chefs, to ensure the event runs smoothly.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food and equipment

CONCESSIONS

  • Assist with the set-up and breakdown in offsite guest restaurant kitchens.
  • Ensure that all guest restaurant locaitons are clean, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Greet guests and assist with seating arrangements and service during the event, explaining our menu options as needed.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the food service industry preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
