The Chemical Operator position involves the transfer of hazardous bulk chemicals from large containers into smaller packages, such as drums and carboys. Additionally, the operator is responsible for unloading material from bulk tankers into storage tanks or totes. The candidate must have a strong focus on quality, ensuring that labels are straight, directions are followed, and lot numbers are noted. Attention to detail is paramount, as is a safety-minded disposition. The role also requires proficiency in operating a forklift.
Responsibilities
Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) while performing tasks.
Load finished goods into tank trucks, totes, and drums with caution.
Conduct basic mechanical troubleshooting tasks.
Accurately document pertinent details for each batch or lot.
Use a forklift to safely transport, load, and unload hazardous chemicals.
Monitor and maintain equipment functionality and cleanliness.
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.
Follow quality control procedures to ensure product quality.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Complete daily task list in the time allotted.
Identify and report any potential hazards or safety concerns.
Requirements
Display a strong attention to detail and follow instructions closely.
Have experience working effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Capable of executing physically demanding tasks required for the job.
Adept at handling and managing highly hazardous chemical intermediates.
Proven ability to maintain a secure work environment by adhering to standard protocols.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certified in operating forklifts.

Hourly Rate: $18/ per hour ($36K to $38K annually)
