  • Overview of School Development and Operational Leadership
  • Acts as primary administrative lead over all school non-academic matters including, but not limited financial management, operations and general human resources;
  • Ensures that people and resources are allocated appropriately to achieve the charter goals and metrics across the Comprehensive Performance Framework (CPF);
  • Follows procedures and protocol to ensure that the school is in compliance with local, state, federal, and charter laws. Resolves any concerns that could lead to noncompliance and reports concerns that cannot be resolved to the Governing Board;
  • Provides necessary reports, data, and materials to the Governing Board for his/her evaluation.
  • Holds staff accountable for operational and financial effectiveness; and
  • Facilitates and supports staff to achieve success in the operational, financial, and organizational areas.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND ROLES

Compliance

  • Prepare all state reports while ensuring for accuracy and timely filing.
  • Management of entry, integrity and reporting of data.
  • Ensure compliance with student records related to health and academics and create systems in the front office for organizing.
  • Manage student and financial data for all reporting entities and requirements.

Families and Students

  • Oversee enrollment at school site and, as required, lead the enrollment process by working with the school leadership, teachers, and administrative team to meet enrollment targets.
  • Implement enrollment campaign for students, including engagement in local marketing initiatives, and demographic analysis.
  • Greet visitors, answer phones and be the first face parents see when they visit the school.

Operations

  • Manage all safety procedures, including development and communication of school's safety/emergency plan, school entry and exit transitions.
  • Coordinate food services and health services for the school.
  • Support logistical planning for school-wide events.
  • Implement technology planning and training.
  • Develop, document and train staff in all operational systems and procedures.
  • Plan and implement school culture-building initiatives with the Head of School.
  • Manage the school facility including maintenance, leasehold improvements, financing, etc.

Procurement and Vendors

  • Responsible for site level procurement of supplies, materials, equipment, and inventory management.
  • Manage all aspects of free and reduced lunch program/process.
  • Coordinate food services, facilities maintenance, security, and other third party service contracts.
  • Collaborate with the Head of School and back office provider to ensure accurate and timely work product.
  • Maintain an organized, highly detailed-oriented account of all invoices, receipts, and transactions.

Talent

  • Serve as human resource function for the school including recruitment support, benefits enrollment and compliance with all employment records management law.
  • Work with our human resource provider and platform to ensure practices and policies are updated and consistent with legal requirements.

  • Willingness to work occasional weekend or evening work hours required.

  • Highly organized and efficient.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator.
  • Able to problem solve and think creatively about establishing systems and structures for new school.
  • Has demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Able to coordinate multiple moving parts, and multiple tasks, on a daily basis.


Education

  • A BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university; an advanced degree is preferred;
  • Clear Criminal Background Check.
