Excellent opportunity for the right person to join a very large, very active Southern Maine Seacoast vacation rental business. The correct person for this position does not collect dust nor do they settle for just average. Bring your A-Game and your Front Desk/Housekeeping Management skills to the interview for a unique position whereby you will act as the “Remote Manager on Duty” (in the absence of the Vacation Rental Manager) so as to ensure the very best guest service is delivered by Our team.

 



Responsibilities include the following:





Front Desk Management:




  • Manage the Front Desk schedule.

  • Receive and enter reservations into the Central Reservation computer system.

  • Run daily check-in/check-out reports and coordinate with Central Reservations.

  • Coordinate arrivals, departures and special Owner requests with Housekeeping and Maintenance.

  • Conduct credit card transactions and secure and handle cash.



Housekeeping Management:




  • Manage housekeeping contractors according to guidelines and contracts.

  • Establish and maintain housekeeping schedules, work logs and checklists for daily/weekly/monthly housekeeping tasks.

  • Coordinate housekeeping schedules with Central Reservations.

  • Confirm daily cleaning and preparation of rooms for new check-ins.

  • Perform routine inspections of cleaned units.

  • Monitor, maintain and make recommendations on level of cleanliness of rental units.

  • Distribute clean linens and towels to multiple property closets within a 3-mile radius.

  • Ensure that linen/supply inventories are tracked and accounted for daily.

  • Provide reports to the Central Office of items that need to be replaced or ordered.

  • Conduct monthly building and grounds inspections.

  • Perform on-site laundry tasks when the need arises.



QUALIFICATIONS:




  • 3 years of Front Desk/Housekeeping experience required.

  • 3 years of Management experience preferred.

  • Ability to work remotely

  • Must be proficient in Email and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must work In-season holidays and Saturdays and overtime (if the business needs dictate).

  • Must be fluent in English, with excellent telephone communication skills.

  • Ability to learn computer software applications and accurately input information into the systems.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving history.

  • Will have exposure to laundry cleaners/odors.

  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas.
