Full-Time Director
One To Grow On 2 Child Care Centers are looking for an enthusiastic Full-Time Director at our Children's Center Preschool. Must have some experience directing a center, love participating in the development of young children, be a strong team player and bring energy and compassion to One To Grow On. Director is required to pass a criminal background check, be CPR/1st Aid trained, and a few other certifications, most of which can be done after hire. We are open Monday-Friday from 6:00 AM- 12:00 AM.
JOB OVERVIEW:
One To Grow On 2 is the fastest-growing childcare operator in the Florissant MO area. At the highest level, all employees of One To Grow On and One To Grow On 2 must be enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and committed to performing their jobs in an ethical and proper manner. The Center Director is responsible for the daily management of the preschool, including classroom staff, budget, curriculum, attendance, and program quality.

Ability to listen objectively to employee concerns and complaints and act, or plan a recommended course of action, in accordance with all Company policies.
Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of all policies and procedures contained in the operations manual, employee handbook, student enrollment kit, parent handbook, and curriculum guides.
Computer literacy required with proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure compliance with the safety standards of the children and staff.
Manage local and state licensing regulations and ensure state compliance and record keeping.
Serve as the primary human resources leader for the center, maintaining great morale and addressing staffing issues in a prompt and responsive manner.
Ensure appropriate center staffing, new hire training, and on-going staff development.
Manage staff scheduling to meet compliance standards.
Enforce school policies and procedures.
Coordinate the annual registration process.
Supervise and assist staff in enriching the early childhood curriculum.
Regularly monitor each classroom and provide ongoing feedback to teachers.
Provide effective tours to potential families to drive enrollment.
Assist the Business Manager with payroll processing while ensuring the accuracy of timekeeping systems.
Oversee the purchasing of supplies (including food) and parent billings and collections.
Other duties as assigned
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common information, reports, and other documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or company representatives. Ability to effectively present information to management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand for long periods of time, sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers, to handle, or feel, sit for long periods of time, stand frequently, bend, squat, reach and turn to access files and office equipment. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must meet applicable state Director certification requirements
College degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred), Educational Leadership or a related field
2+ years’ experience supervising staff in a childcare center or related field
Computer proficiency with Microsoft applications
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Exceptional time management and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Solid business acumen, management, analytical, and problem-thinking skills.
Ability and willingness to work a flexible full-time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
