Full Stack Engineer (ReactJS & Ruby on Rails)

SFO/Atlanta, GA/Wilmington, DE/NYC/NJ

Job Purpose

As a Full Stack Engineer you will be part of a team building and growing a platform for managing highly customized portfolios at scale.

You will work closely with Product Management and Design teams to support ongoing business demands and build to new requirements.

The team has a global footprint with team members in San Francisco, Princeton, Singapore, and Mumbai.

Key responsibilities:

  • Designing, coding, testing, and supporting reliable, robust software applications and services with high-quality standards.
  • Participating actively in cross-functional feature requirement gathering, design, and implementation.
  • Contributor at all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle including code documentation, testing and production deployments
  • Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
  • Write and execute test cases to ensure code quality
  • Coordinating user testing and deploying software
  • Helping drive continuous product innovation and best practices by knowing, learning and leveraging new technologies and capabilities

Core Requirements:

  • Expertise with JavaScript/Typescript, HTML, CSS/Sass/Less, and component-centric web development
  • Working experience with frameworks such as React, Vue.js, MobX, etc.
  • Practical knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Puppeteer, etc.
  • Understanding of front-end delivery technologies, such as nginx, apache, and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs)
  • Hands-on working with Ruby on Rails
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of professional software development experience
  • Thorough understanding of all phases of development, from code organization, architectural patterns, to proper build and deployment techniques
  • Enthusiastic as a compassionate mentor to engineers still growing in their career or knowledge
  • Expertise in working with complex cross-domain applications in a global organization across multiple time zones
  • Enjoys a fast paced, high-intensity and complex environment, troubleshooting time sensitive critical issues and working with people
  • Strong attention to detail; action-oriented attitude, and willingness to roll up sleeves
  • Experience in the financial services industry is preferred
