PlayPosit, a nationally acclaimed education startup, recently opened an office in Denver. Our platform offers an interactive video learning experience to our partner institutions -- districts, universities, companies -- across the world. We're building software that matters, changing the face of education by giving teachers the tools they need to create and deliver interactive video; we’re a media player designed for educators, building a trusted canon of lessons from teachers across the globe based on this medium. We are looking for a strongly organized, proficient, and driven Full Stack Developer to join our team.

Role: The ideal candidate will understand how to work with several languages and databases. This role requires excellent communication skills as you will be working alongside other developers, collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure for our platform. You will need a high level of reliability, problem solving skills and the ability to communicate and prioritize functionalities and fixes.

 

Preferred Experience: A strong and efficient design aesthetic, with the ability to utilize existing resources. You are able to write and read meaningful logs. Previous Vue.js, MySQL, AWS, PHP, and Express experience.

Mandatory Skills/ Background:

- At least one server side language and confidence on the front end

- GIT Mastery

- Coded at least one program that you are proud of and enjoyed

- Driven independent initiatives

- Collaboration with exemplary code - comment skills  

- Strong design aesthetic

- Read/Written meaningful logs

Success Metric:

- Must have solid work-ethic, with hyper attention to detail

- Must be self-driven and not require micro-management

- Own day-to-day platform performance and bug fixes

- Ensure responsiveness

- Strong organizational and project management skills
