Full Time Nurseryperson
SALARY $70,100 + SUPERANNUATION

Grownright Pty Ltd is a farming enterprise growing fruit and vegetable crops along with vegetable seedlings from our base at Tennessee Orchard in Yerrinbool, NSW. Our objective is to provide friendly, dependable, quality service to our customers of which we can all be proud.
About the Role
We require a Nursery Person for our commercial seedling nursery. The role will be based in Yerrinbool, NSW. Must be available to work Monday Saturday.

Duty Statement and Responsibilities
Cleaning trays and nursery growing media containers before planting,
Selecting seeds and planting them into trays,
Preparing growing media and fertilisers,
Tree pruning,
Maintaining nursery plants watering, drenching, treating and moving seedlings within the nursery,
Controlling weeds,
Operating machinery and equipment,
Washing and basic maintenance of vehicles,
Loading and unloading of vehicles,
Loading of plants according to scheduled orders,
Spraying, both by hand and machine,
Tray laying,
Tray washing and steaming,
General maintenance,
Performing basic repairs to irrigation pipes,
Follow safe work and OH+S practices in all aspects of work,
Complete all tasks diligently and efficiently within the expected timeframes set by management,
Promote goodwill/morale and mateship with all staff,
Supervise Saturday work crews and tend to all tasks required to be completed prior to Sunday, eg. loading, watering, scheduling irrigation for Sunday, closing/opening greenhouses, checking heaters, checking germination sheds, checking temperatures of fridges, ensuring paperwork is completed for loads etc.
Preparing of load sheets and pre-written tags,
Maintaining tidiness around the nursery, eg. removal of old stock, weed control, empty trays/shrink wrap and rubbish,
Assisting managerial/supervisory staff as required.

To be considered for this role, you MUST have the following skills/experience:
Certificate IV in Agriculture or Horticulture OR minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
Have a great work ethic (reliable, punctual, proactive).
Ability to work at a fast, consistent pace with and without supervision.
Be able to follow instruction from supervisors and management.
Be a self-motivated team player who gets along well with others.
Have a good eye for detail and take pride in the work they produce.
Be physically fit and be able to push, lift, bend and carry without issues, in all weather conditions.
