Angelic Rainbow Enterprises is our parent company which consists of two special organizations devoted to inspiring and motivating youth to excellence. They are Rainbow Universe Pageants, an inner beauty pageant system for youth ages 13-24 and Sandalphon’s Heart and Home, a unique orphanage for homeless and abused youth ages 13-24 with an intricately designed healing bootcamp to revive them and rejuvenate them for effective recovery. In collaboration, we have 7 clubs, 8 pre-pageant coach trainings, and 4 memberships that all come with and require funshops. We call our workshops funshops because there is more to them than just “work”, we want to make sure our clients and members are having “fun” too!



The Funshop Facilitator position will consist of facilitating our funshop materials, tools and resources for the betterment of our youth clients and members personal development goals. In addition to the satisfaction gained from working for an organization that supports youth in their efforts to reach their personal development/employment goals, this role also comes with a competitive salary and benefits package!

 



The Funshop facilitator:

 




  • Is inspired by helping youth achieve their personal development goals

  • Has demonstrated experience in Communication, Formal Group Presentation & Facilitation, Coaching, Employability/Needs Assessments, Mental Health/Needs Assessments, Adolescent Brain Development, Emotional Intelligence, Curriculum Development, Coaching, Planning, Organizing and Follow-up

  • Has Post-secondary education preferably in Career and Work Counseling or Psychology/Sociology, Youth Education and/or a combination of education and relevant work related experience

  • Certification in at least one of the following would be an asset - Personality Dimensions/Myers Briggs, Neuro Linguistic Programming (not required)

  • Experience using any employability/job readiness assessments or personality assessments

  • Previous experience with proprietary database systems and iCARE a plus but not required

  • Willing to conduct Funshops at youth juvenile facilities and detention centers

  • Has basic knowledge of all MS Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience providing employment/personal development counselling and workshop facilitation to a diverse client group

  • Knowledge of community services, labor market occupational requirements and job search resources as well as personal development resources

  • Has excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and problem solve

  • Has superb non-verbal and verbal/interpersonal communication skills (listening skills are extremely important)

  • Will be able to assist clients in all of the employability dimensions

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and be flexible regarding assigned work hours and location

  • Is in agreement and adopts as well as supports all of our core values, mission, vision and goals for the youth generation

Responsibilities:

 



Support Job Skills’ Employment Services and Personal Development Programs by:

 




  • Delivering personal development and employability assessments, funshops and information sessions to clients in support of their goals or individual development plans

  • Work with clients to facilitate peer-led support groups, leadership activities around personal development, employability and job maintenance

  • Develop curriculum for Funshops/Seminars/ Information sessions/Focus Groups/Networking & Meet Up Groups for internal/external delivery and as part of outreach strategy.

  • Conduct one-on-one personal development/employability assessments/employment coaching sessions

  • Facilitate modules and curriculum from our THINK kit, Behavior Metamorphosis Kit and any other kits that cater to personal development of youth

  • Job search tactics that are successful and current including, social media based networking, targeted resumes and interview preparation in funshops that have been carefully designed to address common career-related and self-esteem concerns and

  • tackle insecurity issues as well as job search challenges specific to entry level job seekers



 



The rock star candidate will possess:



 




  • The ability to provide funshops (workshops) to youth and their families

  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse youth populations (any race, gender or nationality, disability, lifestyle or value) mostly between the ages of 13-24

  • Bilingual is a plus but not required

  • Must have valid driver’s license and provide own transportation

  • Part of the interview process will include participation in a 1-day funshop with youth

  • Provide support and contribute to curriculum, tools, materials and resources for all Funshops

  • Provide advocacy and liaison service with school personnel and wraparound team (if applicable)

  • Serve on committees as determined by Program Coordinator

  • Attend in-service training/funshops and/or conferences to maintain level of professional excellence

  • Provide culturally relevant services

  • Track delivery of services and participation rate of all RUP & SHH Power of Funshops.
