Job Title: Solar Project Leader

Preferred bill rate: $90

Length of assignment: 1 year

How many positions: 1

What is the preferred candidate location (local, non-local, remote?) and is there flexibility? Local or drive in candidates only

Will you consider candidates who will re-locate at their own expense? Yes

If on-site, which location will contractor report to? 600 Canal (Tom Farrell building)

Will travel be required for this position? If so, how often? 10% travel to solar project sites. If candidate is non-local, 50% travel to Richmond, VA required

What schedule is the candidate required to work? 40 hours per week. 50% in office on a blended schedule (2 weeks in office, 2 weeks remote/at home).

At any time is overtime required or would you say it is just available as a function of the job? OT may be occasionally required, on an as-needed basis and with prior approval from Manager

Dominion Energy is increasing its annual installed solar generating capacity from about 300MWac to 1,000MWac per year. The solar construction group is organized into several sequential teams; Development, Diligence, Pre-Construction, Construction, and Close-Out. This Project Leader position will join the Pre-Construction Team, which oversees the engineering and permitting phase of the projects.

The Project Leader assists the Project Manager with all responsibilities of the project.
Responsibilities include:
Coordination with many internal stakeholders including Business Development, Tax, Real Estate, Environmental, Supply Chain, Project Controls
Coordination with external stakeholders, including counterparts in the EPC s organization, permitting agencies, and Owners Engineers
Working with a cross-functional team that includes engineers, permitting specialists, contracts and financial analysts, and real estate analysts
Weekly team reporting to internal stakeholders
Close Development Gaps
Review EPC deliverables, including specifications and design drawings
Review contract Change Orders and other commercial documents
Ensure Real Estate agreements get executed to support project milestones
Turn over fully permitted projects to Construction team

3. Demonstrated experience with reading and writing technical/construction documents

2. Knowledge of Virginia erosion and sediment control permitting

What soft skill requirements do you have (team fit and personality requirements)?
1. Ability to work in a team/matrix environment
2. Ability to build relationships with your counterparts in the EPC s organization
3. Ability to navigate organizational hierarchies to accomplish project objectives

What education and certifications/licensures are required?
1. Bachelor s degree (preferred disciplines include engineering, business, construction)

Are there any specific companies/industries or ideal background you d like to see in the candidate s experience?
1. Minimum 5 years as project engineer or assisting a project manager in multi-functional teams in a matrix environment.
