About the General Laborer position:

The General Laborer will travel to the assigned work site and perform a wide variety of manual tasks that may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Use hand held tools like shovels, jackhammers, tape measures, hammers, etc.
• Dig trenches with a shovel
• Jack hammer asphalt/concrete
• Carry a wide variety of materials and tools
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment or adjustment of materials or equipment.
• Assist the Supervisor with setting up grade stakes when necessary.
• Assist pipe or paving crews when necessary.
• Install and maintains erosion and sedimentation controls.
• Sets inlet, manhole, and water boxes to grade.
• May use a GPS Rover for various layout tasks.
• Help to maintain a clean job site by picking up all tools and equipment to secure the job site each day.
• When qualified, may operate a roller, skid loader, and/or an articulating or off road dump truck.
• Adhere to Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Responsible for own daily transportation to and from the job site.

Education and Experience:

• No formal education is required
• Previous experience doing outdoor labor work is preferred but not required; tasks can be learned on the job in a relatively short period of time
