Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to:

•    Performs all general maintenance duties including painting, cleaning, fixture/tooling fabrication, installing belts, bearing, chains, etc.

•    Responsible for maintaining plant equipment, including preventative maintenance and new equipment installation.

•    Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting of all heat treat furnaces and plant equipment

•    Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

•    Responsible for building maintenance as needed/required/directed.

•    Performs instrument calibration and temperature surveys.

•    Brings any unusual problem or irregularity to his/her supervisor.

•    Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping procedures.

•    Must work in a manner consistent with the EMS.

•    Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.

•    This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.

•    Education – College or technical degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance preferred; High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years industrial maintenance experience required

•    Minimum one year experience in heat treating industry highly desired.

•    Must have experience with welding, cutting, brazing, etc., and working knowledge of electricity.

•    Must have general knowledge of hydraulics and furnaces and be able to read and interpret blueprints.

•    Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.

•    May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.

•    Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language.

•    Knowledge and hands on experience of computer applications, Microsoft Office and databases is required.

•    Must have basic maintenance or industrial tools

Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to:

•    Must be able to work in an industrial environment at elevated heights and in confined spaces.

•    Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.

•    Ability to bend, pull, stoop, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach to perform functions.

•    Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs.

•    May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.

•    Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.

•    Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

•    Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.

•    Ability to hear in person and via phone.
