As the General Superintendent you will:

• 
  

  Manage project teams & drive accountability for progress

  
  


• 
  

  Set up sites and get projects ready to execute efficiently

  
  


• 
  

  Help manage subcontractors & clients

  
  


• 
  

  Establish effective communication mechanisms including recurring meetings with key stakeholders

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate change order response with PM, superintendent and office staff.

  
  


• 
  

  Interface with sites teams as well as office management

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with field production staff to ensure timely on-budget completion of work.

  
  


• 
  

  Develop construction checklist & printed schedules for all projects. 

  
  


• 
  

  Visit job sites as necessary to monitor production, proactively troubleshoot and drive visible progress. 

  
  


• 
  

  Attend site project meetings as Company representative. 

  
  


• 
  

  Oversee all on-site compliance aspects, including safety, company protocols, job reporting & site logs are completed on a daily basis. 

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure field employees complete all required training & certifications

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain readiness of field staff to respond to site emergencies via training (OSHA 10+, emergency medical), toolbox talks, safety materials, PPE, etc. 

  
  

In order to be successful in this role you’ll need the following skills & experience:

• 
  

  5+ years of verifiable construction experience in the San Francisco Bay Area

  
  


• 
  

  AEC degree preferred but not required

  
  


• 
  

  Significant commercial experience, particularly TIs & “ground up” large scale projects

  
  


• 
  

  Superior verbal & written communication skills

  
  


• 
  

  Analytical & Solutions oriented

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency with MS Project & Google office suite

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to see big picture and overall schedule without becoming myopic

  
  


• 
  

  Experience managing lead times for materials
