Global Balance Sheet Senior Specialist Witham - Hybrid


We have an exciting opportunity for a Balance Sheet Senior Specialist to join our Global Process Monitoring & Reporting Team. The Global Process Monitoring & Reporting team supports all countries, working with the Accounting Operations teams and forms part of the Controllership function that are responsible for ensuring accounting is in adherence to organization policies, procedures and SOX requirements.

This role will be responsible for improvements of the Balance Sheet reconciliations quality by creating a monitoring platform as well as to educate colleagues across the organization about the global requirements and best practices. This is a highly visible role within the organization and reports to the Global Balance Sheet Quality Review Team Lead

We will rely on you to:

Perform monthly Balance Sheet quality reviews according to the global standard
Communicate with Accounting Operation Teams regarding findings and improvement areas for Balance Sheet reconciliations
Assist operations teams in Balance Sheet cleansing activity
Prepare and update training materials
Educate colleagues across the organization about the global requirements
Assist team manager with supervising the Global Balance Sheet Quality team
Leading various reporting, dashboard & change initiatives for global MMC Accounting Operations
Assisting with other ad-hoc tasks, projects, and initiatives as required


What you need to have:

In depth knowledge/experience within General Ledger or similar
Experience presenting/coaching or delivering training to teams.
University degree (finance / economics) or recognized accounting qualification
High level of fluency in English
Working knowledge of ERP Accounting systems
Advanced Excel skills and PowerPoint (together with visual presentation skills)
Process analysis or mapping skills, ability to formulate conclusions and recommendations.
Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and deliver results to short timescales.


What makes you stand out:

Prior experience of Oracle and HFM
Part/Qualified ACCA/CIMA
Previous proven ability to identify and implement areas of improvement.
