We seek a results-focused, innovative, customer-centric well-qualified individual to join our talented team as a Paralegal / Executive Assistant, Americas. In this role, you will provide high-level paralegal support to the Legal Director by using independent judgment and maintaining confidentiality while providing research support services including document preparation and review, research, investigations and fact checking, and creating and prepping legal department presentations.

You will:

  • Produce and process legal documentation by reviewing, negotiating, drafting amendments on patents, contracts, nondisclosures, formulary disclosure, and private label contracts for all entities globally
  • Liaise with insurers and claims to protect company assets by liaising with insurers with global asset underwriting valuations, and by assuming claims and policy renewal negotiations. Also, interface with internal department leaders to assess areas of risk and coverage
  • Provide contract interpretation and negotiation issues to internal stakeholders by interfacing with Sales, Business Development, and other business units to create and deliver contract awareness training
  • Manage the contract management system by maintaining systems to track all company commitments and determining then utilizing metrics within the contracting process
  • Manage outside service budgets by reviewing outside counsel work and tracking and reporting on hours billed
  • Organize legal records by preparing, organizing, storing, and retrieving digital and hardcopy files, to include contracts, exhibits, NDAs, exhibits, and other items

Requirements

You should have:

  • BS/BA Degree essential, preferably in Paralegal Studies or related area
  • 3+ years of experience in a legal department or law firm
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Must be self-directed and operationally productive under long non-supervised periods
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Capacity to travel, including internationally expected travel about 10 to 15%


Salary: $86,100-$97,100

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Dymax salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range.
