VIGILINT offers three different opportunities for RNs. Mobile Surgical Resuscitation Teams (MSRT), Rescue Specialist Teams - Fixed Wing (RST-FW), and Rescue Specialist Teams - Rotary Wing (RST-RW).

ALL RNs: Must be available for at least one (1) ~60 day rotation OCONUS annually, plus additional training/screening events. All RN positions must be able to perform the following core responsibilities:

  • Provide critical care nursing in austere and limited resource environments
  • Provide consultation and advice to patients and customers as the nursing care subject matter expert
  • Administer intravenous fluids, vasoactive medications and blood products
  • Prepare equipment, and aid providers during examination and treatment of patients
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret electronic displays, such as intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, and cardiac rhythms from cardiac monitors, respirators, ventilators, manometers, oxygen pumps, etc.
  • As needed, conduct Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT) missions for ICU level patients
  • Assist with the provision of and direction of routine (Sick Call) medicine
  • Performs special staff functions as required
  • Perform basic medical training and instruction when requested
  • Based on qualifications and experience, may function in a leadership position
  • Document care provided and complete medical records in accordance with VIGILINT policy


Mobile Surgical Resuscitation Team (MSRT) RN: This position will be available to support MSRT activities to include:

  • Work with other members of a small team to provide direct and individualized nursing care to critical and postoperative patients. This includes routine and invasive hemodynamic monitoring, full spectrum medication administration and medical documentation.
  • As needed, conduct Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT) missions for ICU level patients
  • Assist with the provision of and direction of routine (Sick Call) medicine

Rescue Specialist Team - Rotary Wing (RST-RW) and Rescue Specialist Team - Fixed Wing (RST-FW): This position will be available to support RST-RW and RST-FW activities to include:

  • Evaluate the condition of critically ill patients upon flight arrival and commencing with treatment
  • Prepare equipment, and aid providers during examination and treatment of patients
  • Manage a ventilator with limited or no additional support

Requirements

All RNs:

  • Active SECRET or higher security clearance
  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the United States or U.S. Territory
  • Current US Board Certification as a CCRN or CEN
  • Current/active civilian practice to maintain clinical currency during non-deployed periods
  • Desired Minimum of five (5) years U.S. Military or Government Sponsored medical experience
  • Experience shall include deployment in austere and combat-like conditions in Role 1, 2, or 3 facilities
  • FRST or equivalent SOF experience is desired
  • United States citizen
  • Current ACLS, PALS, & BLS training through American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Bachelor level graduate from an Accredited Registered Nursing Program
  • Current United States Passport that will not expire within 1 year of employment


MSRT RN:

  • Desired Minimum of five (5) years U.S. Military or Government Sponsored medical experience FRST or equivalent SOF experience is desired


STRONGLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

ALL RNs:

  • Minimum five (5) years' nursing experience
  • Successful candidates may be invited for an in-person assessment process
  • U.S. Military or Government Sponsored deployment within the last 3 years in an austere environment and combat-like conditions
  • Previous Forward Resuscitation Surgical Team/Forward Surgical Team (FRST/FST) or equivalent deployment experience
  • Experience working in the Military Special Operations Community


RST-FW/RST-RW RN:

  • Ability to lift 150 pounds with assistance; carry 80 pounds a distance of 30 feet and push/pull over 200 pounds, must meet the anthropometric standards of assigned platform
  • CFRN certification within 1 year of employment
  • Current PHLTS certification
  • Minimum five (5) years of RN experience (Minimum of eight (8) years experience to serve as a SME)
  • Minimum of five (5) years U.S. Military or Government Sponsored experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of CCRN or CEN experience
  • Must meet anthropometric standards of assigned platform
  • TNCC or ATCN training or equivalents
  • TPATC course completion within 1 year of employment
  • U.S. Military or Government Sponsored deployment within the last 3 years in an austere environment and combat-like conditions
  • Previous experience providing critical care patient transport on flight and ground platforms
  • Previous Forward Resuscitation Surgical Team/Forward Surgical Team (FRST/FST) and/or CCAT experience
