Are you looking to give back to the homeless population? Are you great at connecting with people, and able to see them for who they are - a Human being in need of help? Are you looking to create a direct impact to individuals that are experiencing homelessness? National Health Foundation is looking for TWO dynamic Guest Services Associates to join our team at our Ventura Location. As a Guest Service Associate, you'll be integral in providing a hospitable and safe environment in which guests experience enhanced dignity and respect. This is a real opportunity to be a part of change when working with individuals that are experiencing homelessness.

Pertinent Information

National Health Foundation is hiring TWO full-time Guest Service Associates for our Ventura site. This is a non-remote, on-site position. Available schedules are below:

  • Wednesday through Sunday from 3PM - 11:30PM (Swing)
  • Friday - Tuesday from 11PM - 7:30 AM (Overnight)

This is an hourly, non-exempt role. Pay is $17.25 per hour. Additionally, National Health Foundation is offering inflation pay through the end of July 2023. The inflation pay includes an additional $125 per pay check. NHF reserves the right to cancel inflation pay at any time. All staff must be fully vaccinated and have their booster shot, when eligible.

What does success look like as a Guest Service Associate?

  • Providing the highest quality of service to our guests, by fulfilling their requests, ensure that the facility is comfortable for our guests, and are engaged with each other.
  • Be constantly walking our facility to ensure everyone is have a safe and hospitable stay.
  • Engaged check ins with guests, ensuring that their stay is satisfying, and their rooms are comfortable. If there are any problems, you would respond quickly and accurately.
  • Be the face of the organization. Greet everyone with a smile, treat everyone with dignity, and respect See everyone as they are, as a human being!
  • Accurately record any events that happen, all activity and guests interactions.
  • Develop the trust between guests and our friendly staff and successfully garner feedback from out guests.
  • Create and lead activities for our guests.

Requirements

What would you bring to the organization?

  • Minimum 2 years caregiver experience in a Healthcare or Recuperative Care environment (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks effectively and efficiently. Being able to think quick on your feet.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (Preferred but not required)
  • Ability to communicate friendly and effectively with all our staff, guests, and visitors.
  • Be a positive role model in our facilities.
  • Be open to new experiences, can do attitude and willing to help others.
  • Empathy and compassion is our driving force at the organization. An understanding that the work has a direct impact on the community is very important.
  • The duties as described will required frequent standing and walking. The employee will frequently bend/stoop, squat, reach above the shoulders, twist and turn, kneel, and push/pull. The employee will frequently be required to lift/pull/push/move up to 50 pounds. Must utilize conversational speech for effective verbal communication. Noise level is high in some client care areas.
