The Guest Systems Administrator at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens leads our information technology projects and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. This position will protect our critical systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training and support and direct the overall IT strategy. The ideal applicant must be a hands-on, energetic, professional and an enthusiastic leader with the ability to successfully collaborate cross-departmentally.

What you will be doing:

• Define and manage projects, timelines, deliverables and communication to the business
• Manage user access, active directory, group policy, security updates and vulnerabilities
• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including hardware and operational support for laptops, desktops, printers, routers, firewalls, and vLANs
• Support configuration and maintenance of servers for network, web, and application purposes
• Responsible for identification and implementation of automated solutions
• Offers continuous enhancement of computer components and software
• Represent a team-player spirit when assigned other duties as required

Requirements

• You've got 2-4+ years of Application Support with included hardware support; Galaxy Ticketing Systems preferably. Alternatively, you have 5 years related IT Support experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• You have 1-2 years of server maintenance experience and 1-3 years of database experience
• You have a strong knowledge of network software, hardware and solutions
• You have a track record in developing IT strategy, including operational best practices, information security, data protection and disaster recovery
• Due to the nature of the events/wedding industry this position may require long-days and/or work on the weekends as needed.
