JOB SUMMARY The role of the GYROTONIC Instructor is primarily to lead private the GYROTONIC Method. In addition, GYROTONIC Instructors are expected to maintain accurate schedules in the computer-based scheduling system and up to date records of their clients progress. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Design individual GYROTONIC Method programs relevant to the goals of each member.
- Demonstrate and explain proper form and technique, using proper hands on guidance as prescribed by their GYROTONIC Training Courses
- Assist members physically when necessary and appropriate.
- Document progress of each members training program.
- Keep online schedule accurate and up to date a minimum of two weeks into the future.
- Clearly communicate and adhere to studio and club policies.
- Check and respond to email before and after every shift.
- Respond to member scheduling requests in a prompt manner.
- Record late cancel and no call/no show with details such as time and means through which the cancellation was made.
- Ensure that first time students fill out the appropriate paperwork and are aware of studio etiquette and policies.
- Be well-informed on programs taking place within the department.
- Have a basic knowledge of other departments within the club.
- Stay current with relevant certifications, including CPR.
- Be aware of and stay within the scope of practice of a GYROTONIC Instructor.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Attend a minimum of one continuing education workshop per year.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS - Answer phone in the studio when not in session.
- Answer members questions and provide guidance to members that may walk into the studio or come in contact with in the hallway or other club areas.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS All other job duties as assigned by management. Requirements - Has completed GYROTONIC Foundation Course and has plans to complete Final Certification Test Out.
