Job Title: General Maintenance Mechanic OR Trades Maintenance Worker
Location: Eugene, OR, 97403
Duration: 3 Months
Pay rate: $16-20
SHIFT: Mon - Fri, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Department: Campus Planning & Facilities Management, Utilities & Energy
Selection Criteria: Basic mechanical skills, prefer mechanical skills with piping or general mechanic.
Special Requirements: Able to lift 50 pounds, standing, twisting, non-permit confined space, loud high heat work areas, computer skills for time cards.
UO has a utility distribution underground tunnel system. The tunnel is a non-permit confined space and a large part of our work activities will be in the tunnel system. We would not ask Temp employees to enter permit confined spaces.
Duties and Resp:General cleanup, tunnel cleanup and misc., pipe removal from tunnel, perform or assist in repairs and preventative maintenance, pressure washing, motor removal, steam trap r&r., assist with maintenance as second person for safety, paint, pump and valve work or replacement, thread pipe and install.
WORK SCHEDULE & FTE: Full time, Mon - Fri, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
