Hamilton Partners is seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Group Exercise Instructor at Hamilton Lakes Athletic Club. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized facility, handling administrative tasks, and assisting with member engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning and Maintenance: Before and after each instructed class, ensures that group exercise room is well maintained and adequately equipped. Tests microphones and other AV for proper functioning and reports and issues to General Manager.
2. Safety: Ability to monitor vital signs and have adequate knowledge base regarding cardiovascular and respiratory precautions.
3. Social media and Marketing: Work with General Manager and Events Coordinator on promotional activities to increase participation in classes. Provide updates on club activities and promotions for inclusion on social media and marketing.
4. Administrative Tasks: Ensure participants register class participation. Adheres to club standards, policies and procedures.
5. Group Exercise Instruction: Provide best-in-class instruction for group exercise courses. Writes group exercise technigues that are appropriate for the fitness level of the scheduled class and is up to date on industry standards. Instructs each class within ACSM (“American College of Sports Medicine”), AFAA (“Aerobics and Fitness Association of America”) and ACE (“American Council on Exercise”) guidelines and ensures participants avoid any injury-prone exercises when applicable. Engage members and visitors to provide positive and rewarding exercise experience.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Must be ACSM, AFAA, or ACE or equivariant certified.
• Must be certified in CPR/AED, and First Aid.
• Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Promotion, Management, Human Relations, Education, Teaching, Healthcare, Health, Faculty a plus.
