We are looking for an HR Generalist /Office Administrator to manage our HR functions and support day-to-day office administration activities. The HR Generalist will report to the Controller and will have one direct report of their own.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Human Resources:

  • Maintaining employee records ensuring completion and accuracy of detail such as employee information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure and other key items.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Own and manage our human resource tool, Bamboo HR
  • Own payroll functions in Quickbooks Desktop
  • Own employee benefits and act as liaison between the company and our benefits providers
  • Actively engage in staffing, organizational development and talent management. Sourcing and recruiting candidates
  • Provide HR guidance/support in the areas of: policy and process interpretation, employee relations, employee engagement, change management and process improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; maintain the employee handbook
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Process background checks and employment verifications
  • Conducting new hire orientation and on boarding processes
  • Conduct off boarding process for terminated employees
  • Establish and monitor procedures for record-keeping. Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data and compliance with law.

Office Management:

  • Support the day to administration and Office management activities with the assistance of one direct report
  • Maintain a safe and secure working environment
  • Responsible for developing and implementing office policies by setting up procedures and standards to guide the operation of the office. Document procedures using our IT Glue tool.
  • Oversee accuracy of employee timesheets
  • Establish and monitor procedures for record-keeping. Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data.
  • Maintain office supply inventory
  • Plan company events
  • Ensuring that health and safety policies are up to date

Requirements

  • Physical attendance at offices in Tampa FL (not eligible for hybrid nor remote work)
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in HR
  • 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience and office administration
  • Experience with tech/MSP companies preferred.
  • Experience with sourcing techniques, understanding of referral programs
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
  • Ability to influence at varying levels across the organization
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Reliability and discretion
