Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC/Plumbing BIM Manager to join our team in Bryan, Texas. As an HVAC/Plumbing BIM Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and coordinating the design and installation of HVAC and plumbing systems for construction projects. Your expertise in BIM

software and systems, combined with your in-depth knowledge of HVAC and plumbing design, will contribute to the successful execution of projects.


Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the HVAC/Plumbing BIM team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate BIM modeling and coordination.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to establish project requirements, goals, and BIM execution plans.

Develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows to ensure consistency and quality throughout the design and construction process.

Utilize BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, to create detailed 3D models of HVAC and plumbing systems, incorporating all relevant information and specifications.

Coordinate clash detection and resolution, conducting regular model reviews and meetings to identify and resolve conflicts between different building systems.

Generate accurate and comprehensive construction documentation, including drawings, schedules, and material take-offs, based on the BIM models.

Collaborate with subcontractors and trade partners to integrate their models and ensure coordination between HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems.

Conduct constructability reviews, analyzing the BIM models for potential conflicts, constructability issues, and design improvements.

Provide technical support and expertise to the project team, assisting with design changes, value engineering, and cost estimation related to HVAC and plumbing systems.

Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in BIM software and tools, implementing best practices and recommending process improvements.

Coordinate with field personnel to ensure the accurate installation of HVAC and plumbing systems, verifying that the as-built conditions align with the BIM models.

Collaborate with project managers to track project progress, monitor timelines, and ensure deliverables are met according to project schedules.

Conduct training sessions and workshops for team members and stakeholders to promote BIM awareness, usage, and best practices.

Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Master's degree is a plus.

Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design, coordination, and BIM management.

Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit, and experience with Navisworks or other clash detection tools.

Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, codes, standards, and construction practices.

Previous experience in managing and leading a BIM team, including training and mentoring junior staff members.

Excellent understanding of BIM workflows, processes, and industry best practices.

Ability to create and modify complex 3D models, conduct clash detection, and generate construction documentation.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve conflicts and issues in a timely manner.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Proficient in project management software and tools to track project progress and deliverables.
