As a comfort controller, you will work with heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. You will install, repair, replace and maintain HVAC systems for homes and businesses in many different types of buildings.



HVAC Installation Service Technicians understand how to make buildings cool in the summer and warm in the winter. You understand how to control temperature, humidity and use a wide array of tools to keep systems working optimally. You may work with water-based units, gas units, and more.



Working with air conditioning systems means working with chemicals that must be conserved and disposed of properly, according to Federal law.



ARAC is seeking an experienced HVAC Installation Service Technician that is proficient in installing, changing and retrofitting residential HVAC systems. We are looking for someone who can install, troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain and repair residential systems and eventually commercial systems. With a strong focus on customer service and a commitment to integrity.

 



Required Qualifications:




  • Valid driver’s license with clean MVR

  • Must be able to pass background check.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Have the essential tools needed in the installation of HVAC equipment.

  • Demonstrate willingness to invest time and training to advance in position.

  • Demonstrate commitment to developing customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions as given.

  • Ability to follow safety guidelines:

    • Safely work with heights and in tight working conditions from extension and step ladders.

    • Ability to operate power and hand tools safely.

    • Ability to use safe lifting procedures.

    • Ability to use full range of body motion: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, bending and twisting.




  • Duties:




    • Arrive at scheduled time.

    • Operate company vehicle.

    • Follow instructions from Supervisor.

    • Always maintain professional appearance and attitude.

    • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.

    • Develop customer service, communication and team-work.

    • Learn and Demonstrate within ARAC hours and quality standards:

      • Hole cutting: Metal, Wood and Drywall.

      • Duct Connection and installation.

      • Nailing and Framing.

      • Installation and ventilation standards.
