Job Title: Machine Maintenance and Facility Clean Up

Location: S Lapeer Rd / Dutton Rd, Lake Orion MI

Shift:

• 2nd shift (Monday Friday 3:00p-11:30p)
• 3rd shift (Monday - Friday 11:00p-6:30am)
• Production needs determine if Saturdays would be needed - either voluntary or mandatory)

Pay:

• 2nd shift: $18.50/hr
• 3rd shift: $20/hr
• Raises based on attendance, performance, and attitude.

Job Summary: The opportunity to work for a growing cannabis Manufacturing facility positioned to become a globally recognized brand in the industry. We are responsible for processing and distributing cannabis in the form of pre-rolls, vapes, blunts, etc. As a cannabis handy man / facility clean up member, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and trouble shooting on equipment and perform general cleaning tasks as needed. Successful employees in this capacity are positive, helpful, upbeat, and team-players.

Essential Facilities Maintenance Duties and Responsibilities:

• Will assist in cleaning and setting up cannabis machinery, such as labelers, conveyors, induction sealers, belts, action pack machines.
• Perform routine, repetitive daily inspection, and maintenance necessary to building exterior/interior.
• Assists and performs semiskilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance, repair, and construction tasks in the upkeep of the building.
• Assists and performs with installation, maintenance, repair and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades.
• Perform general grounds keeping on a daily basis; inspect outside of Distribution Center areas, ensure disposal areas are kept clean and in a safe condition
• Prepares and paints walls and woodwork or performs other types of refinish; installs or repairs carpet; performs custodial duties as required.
• Maintains accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules, and MSD Sheets.
• May perform weekly safety checks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment for the patrons of the facility and to eliminate all hazards

Facilities Maintenance Qualifications:

• Knowledge of manual and electrical hand tools
• Knowledge of carpentry tools and material
• Knowledge of HVAC, tools, and materials
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and standard safety procedures
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects.
• Work involves frequent periods of standing and walking, which may include climbing ladders and staircases.
• Work involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning and reaching, bending at the waist. Indoor/ out-door work environment with exposure to weather extremes
• Must be able to perceive the nature of sound, utilize near and far vision, depth perception, provide oral information, and possess the manual dexterity to handle and work with various materials and objects which are essential aspects of this position If this position requires lifting of 10lbs or more please specify.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Must submit to background check
• PER STATE LAW, you must be at least 21 years old
• Previous experience in Cannabis or Botanical processing environment not required
• Attention to detail, good people skills, ability to multitask.
• Wear all required PPE and practice safe work practices.
• Possess a willingness to learn new skills and strong desire for longevity.
• Ability to kneel, bend, twist, and sit or stand for 8 hours per day, 5-6 days/week
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
• Flexibility - this role will be ever-changing as we expand and develop our team
• Comfortable with monotonous working assignments and willing to cross-training in different departments.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing and packaging experience with a focus on ensuring product safety, consumer safety and satisfaction, and high product quality.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced start-up atmosphere environment and able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Must have good Math knowledge, including the use of decimal conversions (metric knowledge is highly desired).
• Minimum of a High School diploma; preferred Associate's degree and previous experience in a quality control environment, preferably in a cGMP/FDA/ISO setting (preferred, but is not required).
