Noblis MSD is seeking a Computer Engineer / Developer to join our team supporting new system development for U.S. Navy submarine programs. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in meaningful work for high priority DoD programs, providing system development from project start and design phase. The candidate's responsibilies may include, but not limited to:
Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software requirements for new shipboard products. Use current programming languages and technlogies to write code, perform testing, and debug applications. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Interact with stakeholders / users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Provide technical evaluation of hardware/software based on technical requirements.
Provide expertise wth operating system installation and setup (Windows and Linux). Develop and utilize scripts for automating repetitive installation and configuration tasks.
Setup and test Virtual Machine environments.
Deploy software and frmware updates to various hardwar devices. Maintain version control.
Perform quality assurance testing of hardware and software components. Identify, document, and resolve bugs/issues.
Stay updated on the latest security standards and apply them diligently. Communicate with cybersecurity leads as required throughout system development.
Required Qualifications
BS Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 4 years professional experience in Computer Science / IT / Software Engineering related field.
One of the following certifications: CISSP (or associate), CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, GCIH
Demonstrated ability to write computer code (object-oriented progamming)
Proficiency with Windows and Linux Operating Systems, including the installation and configuring of software applications.
Proficient with Communication Protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, etc.)
Skilled with Virtual Machine (VM) setup and management.
Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis total compensation package for employees.
