Position: Head Structurer

Location: New York, NY (Onsite)

The Head Structurer will create CMOs and look for arbitrage in the market which will allow the Structured Product

group members to have deal structures to discuss with clients on an ongoing basis. This will also assist the group to
evaluate relative value within the structured products markets. In addition, the Structurer will be responsible for
his own list of clients to call on and generate trades. These clients will include money managers, banks, hedge
funds, insurance companies, pension funds as well as agency CMBS originators to help the group build its Agency
TBA/DUS business.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively engage and maintain coverage of structured products clients including money managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, banks and agency CMBS Originators.
  • Generate trade ideas, assess relative value, provide updates on important news flow and provide portfolio recommendations to our portfolio managers clients
  • Responsible for 750K+ in annual revenues
  • Facilitate and promote TFI sales/trading activity by effectively interacting with Traders, Bankers, and Clients
  • Regularly arrange and/or participate in Client meetings, conference calls, events, etc, to cultivate business relationships
  • Trouble-shoot client issues, providing suitable solutions to questions and resolving problems in a timely manner
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the Agency TBA and DUS Bond Business and contribute meaningful insight to help the firm build out an Agency TBA/DUS Business.
  • Assess risk carefully and appropriately when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to firm policy at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field, Masters degree strongly preferred
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of related experience trading or sales experience in credit, rates, corporates, or securitized products, on either buy-side or sell-side
  • Proven history of successful trading book management
  • Advanced understanding of the fixed income markets and structured products securities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate and interface with clients
  • Aptitude for analyzing and interpreting complex information in a timely manner
  • Must possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in use of Bloomberg and Excel
  • FINRA series 7 and 63 licensures required (or within 90 days of hire)
  • Ability to work non-traditional work hours as needed and attend business related events
