We are looking for an experienced and talented individual to join our mission of creating an online world that is safe for all. This is a fantastic role with reach, impact and reward. You will lead our Chicago team, a key part of our operational delivery serving our platform, corporate and pharma client sets.

This is predominantly a leadership role. You will bring out the best in your team ensuring they excel in operational delivery. You will be able to live and articulate our vision and motivate colleagues to deliver brilliant results. You may well understand online risk already but if not we can train you; you will definitely be a leader.

As Senior Duty Officer you will be the escalation point for all concerns in the business, from client to technology. You will be expected to assess and recognise impact and prioritise effective responses across the breadth of Crisp, from Account Management and Sales to IT, Machine Learning and Data Science. This is a demanding, exciting and ultimately rewarding element which adds a real operational and delivery-focused edge to the broader role.

Our product set is varied, from real time notification of risks being live streamed to the world, to identifying and reporting on a reputational risk for a brand, you will be accountable for them all. Your focus will be leadership, and developing those around you to ensure success.

In order to be successful in this role you will ideally need experience of:

Leading, growing and developing multi-discipline teams

Client engagement

Assessing and managing risk in a digital or open source environment

Briefing, presenting, and strategic communication

Influencing at all levels, in a positive and professional manner

Focus on staff welfare and staff development

This role is Chicago based on a hybrid model, however there will be occasional domestic and overseas travel to support development and strategy where needed.

Requirements


It is likely you will have a number (not all!) of the following traits, skills and experiences:

  • Empathetic and collaborative, well versed in conflict resolution, coaching techniques, and development conversations.
  • Experience of working in intelligence, investigations, or risk management
  • Detailed knowledge of social media platforms, including alt-tech and mainstream
  • An understanding of risk / incident management.
  • Excellent communicator able to articulate clearly and concisely in verbal and written forms and confidently present your ideas in person or on calls.
