Requirements

About the role

The Head of Finance Systems & Operations will be responsible for managing the process and system improvements in support of the Finance organization. This role will also be responsible for managing the internal and external team of administrators and developers supporting the applications. This role is also responsible for partnering with the business to define the key priorities and to build and maintain a roadmap.

Outcomes & Responsibilities

  • Define and align key Financial objectives to process and system improvements to improve overall operations
  • Responsible for system and process improvements in support of Financial operations
  • Bring best practice experience to current processes based on a strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, forecasting and data analytics
  • Ability to apply critical and analytical thinking to drive effective solutions and outcomes
  • Responsible for managing a Program Management office to drive critical finance initiatives
  • Provide IT oversight for Workday Financials platform, including support of critical processes including Procure to Pay, Record to Report, treasury and monthly close processes
  • Responsible for the successful maintenance of all aspects of Financial modules within Workday
  • Maintain System interfaces and Integrations with other critical business systems
  • Build strong partnership with key business stakeholders and provide ongoing support for critical business activities
  • In partnership with the business, work to prioritize key business initiatives and create roadmap to track and execute progress of key initiatives
  • Collaborate with users to provide excellent support and expertise related to system options, limitations, and dependencies
  • Provide recommendations for related enhancements and upgrades
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders across teams and levels
  • Manage team of Workday administrators and developers; which may include both internal and external resources

Requirements

  • 8+ years in Finance and Operations roles
  • Workday FDM experience preferred
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment; with private and public company experience
  • Ability to work cross functionally and develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Prior management experience
  • Experience managing programs and projects
  • Ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven track record of execution-driven results and meeting commitments
  • Self-motivated, quick learner, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Well organized and able to work in a complex and multifaceted environment
  • Prior use of Adaptive Planning
  • Knowledge of utilizing Business Intelligence tools to analyze and produce reports
