"Responsible for supporting health promotion and wellness programs aimed at encouraging members to adopt healthy lifestyles by actively participating in wellness activities. -
The position will provide assessment, health education and behavior change counseling using a collaborative approach to facilitate change. -
Bachelor degree in Health Education, Health Promotion, Nutrition, Nursing, Exercise Physiology or Social Work required. -
Master's degree in related discipline preferred. -
Two (2) years experience in a health promotion/education setting, counseling on health topics such as nutrition, exercise, cholesterol, hypertension, stress, alcohol and smoking. -
Other education and/or experience may be required based on designated departmental assignment. -
Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification, Licensed Registered Nurse (RN), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certification. -
Medical licenses require current unrestricted state of Michigan licensure. -
Valid and unrestricted Michigan driver's license is required." -
An ideal Health Coach candidate would have a strong CM/nursing background. Top 3 Required Skills/Experience -
