As a Health Content Writer, you will be joining our internal team of talented, like-minded and collaborative creatives-all in on our mission of been Africa's backbone of healthcare. You'll deliver clear, human and creative writing across an array of touchpoints - transforming complex concepts, data and insights into precise, simple, relevant copy.



The successful candidate will possess resourcefulness and passion for creating a clear path to concepting and development through an obsession with finding inspiration, planning and tackling multifaceted briefs in healthcare.

You are an experienced writer, skilled in crafting compelling language and stories that win the hearts and minds of healthcare decisionmakers. You are a confident communicator who excels both strategically and tactically in reaching different audiences across a diverse set of media formats and platforms. With the ability to understand innovative and complex healthcare solutions, you passionately bring new ideas to the table by collaborating, debating, and ideating with fellow creatives and marketing teams.

 

Role

• Write articles and reports on research discoveries connected to health and medical fields

• Coordinate with various technical professionals to gather, organize and compile information on new products or processes

• Write a broad spectrum of content-from five words to 5,000-to meet the needs of short and long-form pieces

• Craft messaging that motivates high-level decisionmakers to think and act differently

• Review copy created by others and offer feedback, championing for our voice/tone and messaging guidelines

• Go through medical topics and assist physicians in writing research related articles and reviews

• Assist in preparing press releases, training material and marketing content

• Communicate complex medical information in a succinct way

You

• Bachelor's degree in advertising or communications, or equivalent experience with a great portfolio

• Expertise in writing for all digital mediums including websites, apps, social channels, email and video

• Strong multi-tasking and organizational abilities

• Sense of urgency to meet goals, objectives, and deadlines

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills

• Demonstrated initiative and accountability

• Expertise in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Experience with literature reviews, systematic reviews, critical appraisals, and/or health technology assessments
